Leader Dog Classic is an Arizona 501 (C) (3) Charitable Organization. 

Purpose

The Leader Dog Classic organization is helping to improve the well-being of all blind and visually impaired people by raising funds to purchase a companion service leader (guide) dog; and, serving as a representative to elevate the awareness to all people on the social and economic levels of blind people.  We want to encourage the public and all blind people to either continue or develop their abilities in recreational enjoyment and promote a greater understanding of blindness and the capabilities of blind people.

Major Fund-Raiser

This golf classic is played over two days.  The first day is an opportunity for our visually-impaired golfers to play each other in a tournament.  On Friday, our major fund-raising event, is the Heather Farr Leader Dog Classic.  Our goal in 2007 is to raise $55,000.  THIS JUST IN.....WE RAISED OVER $60,000!!!  The golfing format for the event is a Foursome Modified Scramble.  During the tournament, each foursome will have the opportunity to join one of our blind golfers in at least one hole of play.

During the tournament, there are many opportunities to win prizes from our sponsors through a raffle or silent auction. The Grand Finale during dinner is our Live Auction.

The exposure provided through this event promotes you and your company to the community as a significant contributor for the independence of the blind.  Proceeds benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind.  Come and golf with us or simply join us for dinner and the auction!
